Pastoral Care to the Sick
The homebound members of our community easily become isolated when they are unable to attend Mass. Pastoral ministers usually take communion to the sick, elderly, or someone who is not physically able to attend Mass. Even if communion is not requested, there is still an opportunity to read or pray together, play cards, or just chat with one of our parishioners. If you are a practicing Catholic and would like to volunteer some time for this very important ministry, or take advantage of the ministry yourself, the contact is Margaret McKean. For those who have not been trained as an extraordinary minister of holy communion, training is provided. For more information contact the Parish Office at: (510) 537-0806
