Pax Christi Social Justice
The OLG PaxChristi Social Justice Group combines "prayer, study, and action" and meets monthly to discuss current issues of poverty, war, violence, the death penalty and other social justice issues both in the U.S. and abroad. They regularly plan and participate in functions such as letter writing campaigns on social issues, speaker programs, information tables, and movie night. "Peace and Pizza Night" is where you can spend an enjoyable evening eating pizza and at times, watch a thought-provoking documentary or film. Past viewings have included "The Global Banquet," "An Inconvenient Truth," "Why we Fight," and many others. Dennise Burgess is the contact for the Social Justice group, has recently experienced 3 weeks in Tanzania and Kenya, and she would love to meet you and talk about you can become engaged in this group.
